Running more lines

Does anyone have success in the spring running a cheater on a shallow running rigger? My thought is that it will run too shallow and be to close to the boat although the prop wash may attract some browns.

Had luck with coho's last year on cheaters/shallow riggers.  8ft rigger and free slider doubled up 4 or 5 times last spring with doubles on the same rod.  Can't hurt to try it.
