Hey folks.  Any advice on running those little honey bee's or other small spoons off the planers?  Can I just run a split shot or is there a better way to get them in the fish's zone?   Also, any advice on what size shot to run in the 5 to 10 ft range with those small spoons would be greatly appreciated.  Thx

Use 1 color lead core for 5' and a 2 color core for 10'. That's what's works well for me.

1 or possibly two large split shot placed about 3 or 4 ft above the spoon (also helps keep grass of the spoon itself)

Short cores have been my best producers so are this spring. I have a 1,2 and 3 color out most days

I use 1 medium split shot when shallower than 10 feet and a couple larger ones when deeper than 10 feet. Make sure not to let spoons out to fast or make sharp turns when using weight or they will hang up. I'm going to set up a couple leadcores and see if they make a difference.
