Problems With Troll Master Pro2

Having problems with my troll master.  When I turn the batteries on the unit is showing black squares all the way across the screen. And none of the buttons work  Resetting the batteries doesn't seem to help.  Sometimes warming up the kicker and then resetting the batteries seems to do the trick but not always. Also when I do get it to run I eventually get an error message that says Rudddd or Ruddvu??  And when that pops up the numbers will not change on the display they are frozen in place but the dial still allows me to change speed.... Annyone ever heard of this stuff?

Is it possible the wiring connector at the motor on the servo is plugged in backwards?

The connector on mine looks like it could be accidently connected wrong

i doubt it, it worked all last year fine and I haven't touched it since I got the boat from the previous owner. i emailed the company and they told me to send it in for repair.... display, servo, wires and all.
