This is the first year in more than 5 years that i missed the walleye opener. I suspect the water is still colder than normal. Does anyone know the water temps on Conesus as of now?

thanks,

given the cold temps, are you guys catching eyes? I'm no master eye fisher (although i do better than some :) ) but i seem to catch em only when temps are at least 50, preferably 52.  I'm curious about your thoughts about temp and catching eyes. Should i head to conesus now or wait til it warms?

thanks for your input,

Water is still cold coming out of the swamp.  This next warm up spell coming should change that.  the warmest reading I could get was 49 and that was at the inlet in 2 ft of water.  At the drop off it was 45-47 and then it was 44 everywhere else I went.

i fished conesus monday from 8p-midnight. Caught 2 large bass and 2 good sized pike, but no walleye. Water temps (according to my humminbird, i never saw above 49) are still too cold - IMO

47 is the best i could find, other than shallow water, this morning on otisco. By the weekend we should start getting into em!
