when your buying spoons  what is the most prefered ?    copper back or bright silver ?

Anything Finger Lakes Tackle! Cant go wrong. Love the UV and glow spoons. Gold or bright silver depending on water clarity and amount of sun/ cloud cover. I have caught a lot of big fish on small gold flutter spoons.

I use a copper back spoon on overcast days. You should have a mix of silver, copper and gold to change with the conditions.

I have tons of confidence in copper backs for certain colors. Green Hammer and Chicken Wing with copper back are two of my favorites...

Actual silver plating as on Sutton Spoons.....has the greatest visibility under water....not real durable finish over time but VERY effective
