Duck Hunting on Lamoka / Waneta lake?

I know i am way out of season right now, but i am just curious if anybody has ever gone duck or goose hunting on either Lamoka or Waneta lake?  I was out there fishing yesterday and saw a few spots that looked like great cover for duck hunting.  I recently bought a 14ft aluminum boat (already camoflauged) with a 5hp motor that i would like to set up for duck hunting lakes.

 

If anybody has been out there hunting in the past, is there a good number of birds flying during early season before the lakes freeze over?
