I've read this works well on Lake Michigan for Cohos and Steelies, has anyone had success with this setup on Lake O?

Thanks for any input

I used a yellow dodger with a lime green spin-n-glow on a wire thumper rod on Wednesday and caught a laker within about 5 minutes of sending it down. I was impressed to say the least.

I was thinking of using a red 00 dodger followed by a peanut, will that work where we fish? Not sure what a thumper rod is, still really new to this.

Thanks

By chance do you mean peanut flies??? Small atomik peanut flies behind 00 red dodgers, and the baby spin doctors are very effective on lake ontario for steelhead and cohos...

Yes, I did mean peanut flies, I didn't mean to confuse them with regular peanuts or spin-n-glows. I have a set up that I want to try this spring. I have a orange dipsy to run it behind as well.

Yeah here on Lake Michigan - if you are leaving the dock without 9 rods with 00 orange dodgers spinning in the wind tied up with peanut files (or chopped king flies), then you just arent doing it right.
