I checked the brake fluid reservoir on the boat trailer recently and is bone dry. Do I simply need to fill up the reservoir with new brake fluid or do you have to bleed out the lines to get the fluid all the way down to the brakes?? Also, does this mean that there is a leak somewhere in the brake lines?

Thanks!

Seal or line likely leaking, would check that out first.

The easiest way to check it is refilling and bleeding. I presume you have surge brakes so you should go and brake a few times and then see if there is a leak along the lines or seals
