Dispy's

Question for you guys that run Dispy diver . Does the color of them make a diffence . There are so many colors of them out there . But I see a lot of clear and black being used . Thanks for input.

When we run them, we usually use black ones........ Others, like our green ones work pretty good too, when we use spoons. If we run any bait, the chrome ones seem to work fairly well....

Some days Chrome and other days colors or black.  Its not a stealth thing they must make a lot of racket going through the water .  What with the displacement of the disc and the tight wire.

For years I have used chartreuse and a Kelly green. Have to try a new color next trip because I lost the chartreuse last year. I think I am going to try white.

I have heard black is the ticket.

I would use any of the colors as long as they are black  , I have always used black they seem to work well.

Use any color you want just do as the Rolling Stones say and "paint it black"!

I always use clear.  A buddy uses purple.  We catch the same amount of fish.  I dont think it makes a difference really.

I use a kelly green and a chartreuse diver mostly.  Kings have loved a kelly green diver since they came out and it's still the case today.

 

I think a lot of guys use all black divers because it is color neutral and they want to take the diver color out of the equation.

Black, clear, Green in that order, depending conditions.

Buy the orange one when it is on clearance,,,,,, then paint it Black.

I use orange/yellow high up in the water column.

Green in about the middle say 40 - 80 ft down.

Deeper than that I prefer black, or silver.

I always used black or clear, a couple years ago my kid bought me a wonder bread dipsy and I seem to catch just as many fish on that one as every do on the others so I keep using it

Tried many colors but now use all black.

Mostly black but I have a few different colored ones as well.....Tim hit it on the head for me....try to present neutrally so the focus is on the lure itself.

I use black, black, and oh yeah black. If i find a good deal on some used colors ones I just paint them black
