3rd week of June

I am thinking of  going back  to the  big O    I have been going to Fair Haven  and slammed the fish in April. I wonder if the lake may be set up there?   Would  the bar be a good bet considering the water is still ice cold from what I hear?  Looking   for my best bet  to find some kings.  any advise ????

Generally speaking fair haven is pretty tough in June. There are some kings to be had but usually the lake isn't setup quite yet. I have found that 4th of July is usually the start of king fishing in fair haven. Just my experience. There are ways exceptions to the rule

That early you would be better off further west,if you are going to fish east,you may be heading offshore pretty far to find fish and you will need a lot of cable on your riggers!!!!

I know we will be beating up on the steelhead and salmon here in Rochester at that time frame.

If your going to fish the eastern basin, some of the best walleye fishing I have ever experienced was the 2-3 week of June, most people think they have moved to deeper water. Depending on the temp there is a lot of good fishing to be had in the northeast.
