Anybody with experience fishing Chaumont know if the walleye stick around in the bay into June/July?  Can you pick up some fish jigging or trolling lines deeper, or is it pretty much a lost cause b/c they've moved out to the main lake by June or so? Thanks

Generally by that point they have moved on out into the lake more and much more scattered. You can try out by the Galloos and Stony island maybe Grenadier island too

On the bay at 5:45 this AM. Worked mainly Pt. Salubrius side. Put 4 walleye, and 3 smallies in the boat by 8:30. We ran purple Reef Runners and dark blue Husky Jerks. Both produced well.

I knew a guy who lived on the water out there in chamount who was really into diving, and he'd tell me some fish tales about the giant walleyes he'd see out there diving. But... at the same time, he'd always tell me how he'd come back with his boat, rod, and reel and couldn't catch anything for the life of him...

So hit or miss out there, not to mention the never ending wind blowing you all over the bay.

Were you out today? It was coming down the bay and from the lake, I hate fishing in the cross chop.
