I was just on Seneca. Had a guy at the launch tell me there was a 5 mph speed limit on Seneca. I saw lots of boats doing way more than 5. Does anyone know what the story is? I cant find anything about Seneca.

We called the sheriff's and only place on seneca that has restriction is Yates county. Did see the guys going out of dresden to the barge on plane though.

Ok, thanks. Thats what I was understanding. I know someone in the schuyler county clerks office and asked them to check with the sheriff and they were not aware of any speed limit for schuyler county.

Just saying , seems if they had in place a 5 MPH speed limit they would have to post it at the launch area to enforce it..... since they changed the TV signal we can get local channels in park.

i'm all for it with a small motor i cant break the 5mph limit anyways it would put everyone else on my level of course than there would be that much more of a crowd in the areas around the launch oh well thats whats nice about seneca you can fish right out of the gate from most launches

Just look for the WHITE line in the water and stay out of Yates country. They have one on the boarder of USA and Canada too.

Any cayuga restrictions? Guy at work said he saw on the news there was a no boat ban but can't find anything on it. Anyone else hear this?
