Didn't happen! Kinda like fun loving when you're a teenager.(in the old days anyway).."all ready but no place to go"    I got to the launch and here is me and this is what I saw:

 

Decided it wasn't worth sucking in all the mud and wading out to the dock so I went home and celebrated with some breakfast

Have been to that launch a few times and it never looked like that. gives me a good idea of what all that rain has done.  You sure got a pretty boat though! Looks you really have it set up nice!

Thanks guys. I had my hip boots in the back but didn't feel like messing with that mud etc. just had a new impeller put in.

I hate to have to ask but I dont want to miss out on something that could help me out on the water.   What is an impeller used for?

​Outboard cooling system , usually made out of rubber...... the muddy crap could tear it up or even plug it .....

Hi Frank just to expand a bit on Ed's on target comment -  The impeller basically revolves around inside the lower unit of the motor sucking water up and out the ejection port at the back of the motor (outboard) as a stream of water shooting toward the surface.The process cools your engine. They need to be replaced periodically ( different period depending on motor requirement....for my135 Optimax it is every two years for my 9.9 Johnson it is every 5 years - consult your manual. If you let it go too long you risk severely overheating your engine for a lousy $25 part. Here is what the one from my 9.9 looks like to give you an idea. The rust on it is not from my engine per se. it was from the marina's test tank
