Hi Guys and Gals,

Ok Team Waterlogged is breaking down and buying a 600' copper set up from A-Tom-ik.

Now the big question is what length and action rod would you put this on??

Thanks,

Clarke

I took the advice of a lot of people on this site and bought the daiwa heartland 9'6". I have a few of them and for the price you cannot beat it. $29.99

Of course.....you already know this Clark, but I prefer the shorter rods for the copper. Like anything, it's just personal preference. We use cabela's trolling series rods and I like the 7'6" trolling rod for the copper rigs. I also use the same series rods for all our set ups. 10'6" & 9'6" dipsey rods for all our wire set ups, 8'6" ft downrigger rods and 6'6" leadcore rods.

They are not the best rod money can buy and in fact Imho when they were introduced a few years back they actually sucked. That being said they have improved dramatically from a few years ago and I really like them now. $40 apiece is what I just paid for 10 new ones.
