How predictable is the dive depth of the slide diver- lite bite when used directionally to the side? Are these things awkward to bring in with a fish on? How far out to the side can you get and still get deep? What kind of rod strain do these rigs produce and what specs should a rod for using them have?

I have not yet used the new lite bites, but have regular run the regular

slide divers. If you are familar with dipsey divers, they are essentially

the same pull, action etc. The difference is the ability to set the setback

distance of the lure from the diver.

Any dipsey rod should work for the bigger ones, and I use downrigger rods

for the smaller ones off big boards for walleye. I think they are perfect

for walleye.

I've got 4 new light bites and what I am going to do is run them against my LJ DD's. Once I can get them to go consistenly then we'll see what my opinion of them is. It helps when you run 4 wires becasue switching one out wont hurt you too bad. You guys all know I will give some feedback once an opinion is formed so sit tight. The owner showed me how to rig it on wire, becasue i refuse to run mono or braid anymore.
