Fishing can be great on those shoals in Aug or even earlier. I also catch many in the SLR.

Will be up the middle of the month, been having some trouble with my back again. Come Hell or high water I'm coming up fishing. Thanks for asking, reading all this fantastic walleye fishing so far this year is killing me, the old saying you can run but you can't hide, once the lake sets up we will be in good shape. Fished on a friends boat out of Henderson. Ran to Sangri La and trolled toward Chaumont. Marked a fair amount if bait but only caught 1 walleye, 1 pike and 1 drum. Looks like the eyes may be headed out of the shallows toward the open water shoals.
