We are going up for the weekend.

Anyone having any luck with the browns or walleyes?

We are fairly new to this game. Any tips would be welcome!

Browns have been slower then normal this year. Walleye has been on fire but you're a little late to the game. Seems like it's cooled off a bit over the last week or so. I'll be up this evening and fishing Friday - Sunday. I'll report back here if there's anything worth sharing. I won't be after walleye this weekend, though.

Walleyes are in chaumont bay still. Fish 20-25 ft of water. Put your stick baits back 50 with 200 on planner boards. Around Pt salubrious is doing well as well as the shoal drop off.

Thanks for the replies.

We did not do very well, but did learn a lot. We tried around Pt. Salubrious and Cherry Island Saturday. There were a lot of boats. We met some great guys at the Chaumont launch Saturday at lunch and they gave us some great tips also. They had a livewell full of big walleyes from 7-10 pounds.

We fished Oneida, Chaumont and Henderson. Caught some nice perch and some small keeper walleyes. Also a few smallies, one over 20 inches, along with some pickerel. We had enough action to keep it very intersting.

I loved it. Can't wait to get back.
