Dipsy spin doctor leader lenght

What do you feel is the best leader length and material for running flasher or spin dr with a wire dipsy?

Tight lines and screaming drags to all!!!'

between the dipsey and flasher I go a rod length, I am not a fan of hand lining a fish to the net. just my opinion.

I usually give it roughly a far as I can reach shoulder to shoulder. generally use # 50 for the leaders.

30# big game, eight feet roughly from dipsy to flasher.

14' of 30 lb. Big game. Hand line em in to net. Huge difference for me in catch rate, used to run 8' or less, experiment for yourself! Also more important is the leader length from flasher to fly, some days 24" plus, some days 12" or less, then colors.....

as long a leader as you can handle. For me its 12' of 30# or 40# Blood Run Flourocarbon

14 wraps of leader around the diver. I never measured it but a old charter captain told me this a long time ago and it has always worked for me
