There was a bunch of busted up ice chunks in the Upper Niagara River this morning. Probably came over the ice boom from Erie.

It shouldn't be long now

Don't get too excited boys--there is still a LOT of ice in Erie. Even with the wind yesterday there was still ice as far out as you could see today in Erie, PA.

It will still be a few weeks yet before the Niagara can start pumping anything less than ice chunks into Lake O. Let's hope for LOTS of SW winds over the next two weeks.

Hey Ray - I heard the ice on Erie was compressed to only 250 Yds wide. Unfortunately it was 73 ft thick....
