I have a 13 ft Hobie Fishing Kayak and know nothing about the Oak Orchard area and its tributaries. Can someone tell me where to put in and fish with spin casting equipment and what's working? I'm planning on going this Friday June 27th. Thank you VERY MUCH!   Bob Bohner

You can put in at Point Breeze for free or you can use Captains Cove, they might charge. Fish edge of weeds for Largemouth, deeper holes will hold Smallmouth. Sheephead and Pike can be found throughout the river. I have also caught a walleye or two.

fish that are edible and least PCB and other bad stuff..  if you can point me in different places and bait for different fish that would be outstanding.

Had some heavy rain yesterday. I would call the folks at captains cove and narbys and get their advice. They should be helpful.
