Took a friend and three 8 year old boys out early Tuesday morning from Seneca Point.  Lines in by 5:45 first fish hit a 300' copper with a NK mag black/ green mtn dew cup around 6:00 am.  Took  the 3 boys awhile to land her but I helped them out and they put a lake trout in the boat.  While they were taking turns on the copper rod and I was instructing and watching them and I noticed a rainbow jumping 20' back behind the boat, fish on.  Quint took the rod but the fish came unbuttoned.  Sutton 44 down 31' back 30'.  Mid lake action was where they were in front of the condos.  We then trolled south as the wind was picking up.  I decided to bag it at 7:30 reeling in the last rigger on the pop a lake trout hit right at Seneca Point 165 FOW 41' down 40' back Sutton 44..  So my friend Drew got to reel in nice fat male lake trout.  The kids in were in the cuddy so they missed out.  At dawn it was flat calm but she really kicked up by 7:30.  Not as bumpy by the time I got back to the north end heading to Sutters.post-139627-0-85285300-1404327026_thumb.jpgpost-139627-0-73081200-1404327057_thumb.jpgpost-139627-0-00318000-1404327081_thumb.jpgpost-139627-0-81554000-1404327106_thumb.jpg

It sounds at least like there is something out there now and thats a good sign and great that the kids got into some fish....whole lot better than trolling for hours and hearing "dad I'm bored when are we going home? " Nice going.

Going solo tomorrow morning hoping to find some south. I hope your report is a sign things are changing. Been rough out there. I post tomorrow with an update.
