Keuka, 7/5 and Conesus, 7/6

We stroked it both days. On the water at 5:30 am out of Penn Yan on Saturday morning looking for lake trout jigging, we fished from 65-165 fow along the entire West side to the Bluff (where there were at least six boats jigging, but I never saw a fish boated) then over in front of Harbor Lights in the deep deep. We caught four fish total. One came in 85 and the other in 135 fow. We never tried inside on 65, and from the sounds of it maybe we should have?

 

We bass fished Conesus on Sunday, short trip from 6-9 am. The boat traffic wasn't as bad as I'd feared it would be. Topwater over the weeds inside and plastic off the deeper edges netted us two fish. 

 

It hurts to be shellacked so thoroughly on the one weekend I'm a bachelor. Should'a hit the big pond from the sounds of reports from this morning.
