Barcelona Trip 7/3 - 7/6

Made it out to Barcelona for our annual July 4th weekend trip and had a blast, both the fishing and the camping was a great time! We usually have a different crew every year, and this year it was me and my fishing partner, a buddy of ours, and two of my nephews. Ended up with a total of 30 walleye's for the 4 trips we made out. We fished 75 to 95 FOW, and caught all our eye's on crawler harnesses, mostly on 4, 6, and 7 color leadcore. Hope you all enjoy the pic's

Awsome job!  I am sure your nephews enjoyed the trip, my uncle use to take me and that is what has got me hooked. Had some good times on erie and chamount bay with him. He passed last spring but what he taught me will last forever.

Thanks for the shout out bettieanne, and God bless the times you had out with your uncle! The boy's really enjoy that trip, and are getting to be pro's at reading the rods, and setting hooks. A couple more years and they can take the lead at the stern, and give me and my partner a break!

Where is a good place to stay in the barcelona area

If you are camping, there is a KOA campground about a mile east of the harbor. We stay at Bluewater Beach campground which is another 2 miles east from there. If you turn left towards Westfield when coming off the thruway, the Holiday motel just down the road on the left. Google any of them for info.

Blue Water Beach Campground does have a two bedroom Cottage for rent as well!

Thanks for the info, but unfortunately my trip fell through so I didn't get to chase the Erie gold.

DJ, hopefully you can swing a trip out. I think it's gonna be good all summer, so we're planning 1 more trip for 8/8-8/10.
