so i found a boat i want to buy but of course its just on the other side of the border. I have googled the topic, looked on customs website and even from the advice from another member emailed his friend that imports and exports cars. But i am still confused and i am looking for the truth

1. Transfer of registration and bill of sale at border is all i need

2. There may be a dutie of 1% on boats at border (also been told that this is for new boats not used)

3. Canada has no titles but just registrations for boats and trailers? is this true

Any other info from guys that have done it?

Ok the us customs said all I need is bill of sale and registration and no duty cause it's an American made boat.
