11Jul went 5 for 9. All action 375- 440ft of water. Landed 3 Majors and dropped 2 though I got to fight the one almost to the boat. Landed 2 small steelhead. Bullfrog ProE with  Atomik  Ultraglow fly took 4 of the 5 screamer bites. Steels came on a FL spoon I just ordered and was recommended from some good ol Boys from Candor. It was ran on a 200 copper.

12 Jul went 5 for 7 . Action was 425- 555 ft.   4 majors on 2 landed. 3 steels landed. one steel 22in. NBK

with a UV fly took 2 major hits, the other 2 Majors hit  the bullfrog set up.

The Majors were true Blue drag screamers. That's why I go! Lake was like a Pond, effortless solo fishing! I do like The Oak. I am planning to do a 9 day trip there last week of Jul. This trip was a bit grueling. Here's how it went.

I decide to go at 1pm on Thurs. and throw the trip together in a few hours to leave at 6pm. The few people I asked couldn't/ can't do much on short notice.Drive 3 hrs, sleep in truck, up at 4, launch at 5, fish all day, go to camp, clean fish/drink beer/pitch tent/ cook supper/prepare camp for quick quiet tear down at 4am. Next day 4am wake up, slam coffee, collapse tent, vacate site, on the water at 5am/fish all day/ drive 3 hrs home. Now Freezer is broke at home, fish to clean, "they are gutted on ice" May have to run for a new freezer. I just fixed freezer. Broken wires.

Buck, man i tell ya i had a absolute ball chatting with you. I give you so much credit, i don't know how you do it yourself. I'm glad you like it down here at the Oak and the next time your in town we gotta meet up for a beer. We finished a lousy 2 for 5 on Saturday. don't know whats going on with us. Bad ju ju or something. As i began picking up that diver fired again and after two big runs it was stretched out 700 ft. We had it for 5 minutes and it just came off. So it goes it will be bigger next Saturday and we will be chasing them around again. Thanks for sharing information it was much appreciated and i had a riot. Take care buddy, next time your in town give a holler.

Thanks all for the Positive feedback. I'll surely get ahold of you Kooter in 2 wks. Lots of prep to do when preparing for a 9 day tent camp fish trip. Been wanting to do it for 2 yrs but cheated myself on fishing/drag racing the last 2 summers while building pole barn.
