I have my 10 colors on 47s non line counters. Fine for finger lakes but want to have more backing capacity for LO. What 're you using? Non line counters.

Okuma 45 series are big enough. Braid backer with help out if line capacity is an issue.

Thanks guys. I have 30lb power pro on mine now but it's only 125 yards and they are full. I'll take a look at the okuma's.

A lot of us old timers have used Penn 330s for ten color cores for years.

Daiwa saltist 50 or a daiwa seagate 50 would be my choices. 6 to 1 gear ratio and better drags than the others mentioned.

Also add the okuma clarion 45. 6-1 also.

I bought 2 Daiwa Sealine 57LC on sale through Cabela's for $109.99. They are the same reel as the Seagate 50 but with a LC. Tournament drag, 6.1 gear ratio, oversized line aperture and capacity. They are back on sale. Check your email for any promotions. I got free shipping on mine back around Father's Day.

We use core extensively and by a mile the finest 10 color reel that allows a ton of backing is the Okuma Clarion 553. Super fast, great drag, huge capacity.

Those Clarions kick ass...
