Shakedown Weekend -Oswego

Started saturday morning with a buddy of mine. A nice westerly wind. It was my first time with my new planer mast (never used one). Let's just say I might need a lil' practice. We were off the water by 10:30am with a bagel.

Sunday, lake was glass for he first few hours in the morning. I broke out the in-line boards that I am much more comfortable with. Took 11 fish by 11am. The wind picked up out of the east and we never had another hit. Pulled off the water about 2pm. Black and Silver j-9's were the best. I didnt get a fish on my smithwicks. No really big fish but a good time none the less. Surface temp was 37-41 degrees. About half the brownies had lamprey attached to them. :x The lamprey were about 5 inchers. I did mark a lil bit of bait but nothing to extreme. I did some searching for some warmer waters but that didnt turn anything significant up. I'll be up mid week again.
