Fished Thursday and Friday with forester Dave.  We had fairly steady action for 2 days.  Current was pretty strong.

Thursday

5  kings  3 about 20# each. 2 skippys

2 steelhead   1 7# and the other was 15#

1 laker  7#

4 or 5 more strikes but came unbuttoned

best water was from 170-210

Friday

6 kings   4 18- 22#  2 skippys

half dozen or so more strikes but came unbuttoned

Best water was from 170-210 except for one king came in 125 on the way in on Friday

All fish were on F/F except for one hit on 300 copper on spoon and 2 skippys on spoons off a rigger

best combos were: white sd/  hammer fly,  green sd/ green glow, white w/green dots/ glow hammer, capt valium sd/  blue dolphin ( high sun), blue holo/crush glow pro-troll/ blue squid

280 and 250 dipsy, and riggers did all the damage.  Few hits on copper all came unbuttoned.  No idea on down speed/temp.  Our probe decided to be uncooperative.

We got my buddy's 14 yr old son his first KING! Weighed 21#.

It hit the rigger and ripped out 473 ft of line in 1st run!  I think he is hooked!  I handed him the rod as the fish is headed for Canada, and he looked at me and said

"I can see why you do this so much, this is awesome!

Thanks for posting the report Dennis. Here are some pics from Thursday and Friday. Hopefully we can head back up next Sunday! Watch for logs and debris in the lake, there was a lot of junk floating around. Good luck to everyone.

Somehow I uploaded duplicates of a couple pics. Sorry about that, I don't get along with my smartphone.

Must be the fish were too busy during the week and needed Saturday off! Fished from 8 - 5 yesterday, 1 small laker, 1 small brown, and 1 juvy king about 9 #. All from 150' - 160' 70 - 90 down. Lots of marks but no takers. Spinny/fly, Spinny/meat, spoons, couldn't get 'em to go...and a fishin' we went!
