Maybe the better question is "What temperature?"  I would like to know that.

I am assuming that what we ran into today out of olcott where fleas? I am new to the lake but our lines where covered with what looked like some sort of very tenacious algae. Where these the fleas? How long does this last? I am going to stick to walleye and Lake Erie until this mess is gone. Do they stay for the rest of the summer? Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you dont want to deal with fleas, might as well sell all your lake ontario equipment...they show as soon as the water warms up into the upper 60's or so, and stay until.the waste cools off...yes, it SUCKS!!! and i hate fleas more than any other invasive species but they arent going anywhere and we must cope...a little investigation and you will find ways to lessen flea impact...
