Started out jigging the North end around 7am and the fish were pretty negative. Couple of good grabs but no fish in the boat. Moved down to the long point area and pretty much the same story. Lots of weeds in that area. Switched over to trolling around 9 on a south troll and picked up 4lb laker 85 over 200. Had a relatively slow pick from there with a couple of really nice bows on cores and dropped a real nice laker on a ff of the deep rigger. Letting a wire diver out it hit about 115 on the counter and started peeling pretty good with a nice hen Bow. Flees have diminished greatly but I imagine they will find there way back quickly with the upcoming warm weather.

Nice going and good report. Good to see smiling face on Canandaigua.  Nice bow

Yes - I agree Les.  It's good to hear a positive report on Canandaigua.  I had a dry 3 hour trip on Wednesday but marked a lot of fish and bait in the north end.

At least you marked fish and bait Ted. I've always found August to be a slow month out here and have often shifted to fishing perch then. Les
