Looking to buy a couple copper set ups for Lake Ontario. Will be in town Labor Day week/weekend. Looking for suggestions as to what type of reels everyone prefers. As well as what set up is preferred that time of year?

Just looking for something that I can use one week a year or less. Usually fish Lake Erie but very excited to make the trip even if the fishing is slow.

Thank you

I got two okuma clarion 55's. With about 300 yds. 50# power pro. And 300' copper. Fills reel about perfect. These reels are high speed gear ratio. And trust me you will want that ! Lol

The new diawa seagate with. 450 of marked copper would be a great option, it's high speed too.

I have a 300 on 50h saltist and 800 tekota with 450 tekota both work well, high speed a must after using the saltist

The new Seagate 60 is a great setup, awesome drag, and you can fit 450' copper with no problem. Just made 2 of these setups, 40lb backing and copper!!! You can't go wrong!! Good Luck
