Happened upon this site while looking for lodging near the Oak.  Also sad to learn about the tragedy at the dam.  Have been visiting WNY for over a decade. New rules at the Oak may create more of a circus downstream during the run.  I am a fly guy, don't hold it against me, and enjoy exercising fish on the Ontario tribs during the fall.  May need to seek out some new water pending how the discussions go with Brookfield.
