Ran 7 trips in 4 days and didn't change the gear out for those days. The bite was that good! Mostly JUMBO Chrome with a few Kings mixed in, and 1 mature a day. We fished 27-30N and 16-19W the entire time, and our riggers were 30-60' down, wires out 70-120, 10 color cores, 200 coppers, and 300 coppers. The Dremaweaver Magnum Get'R Dun was hot on the 10 color, and the regular size was flying on an 80 diver. Familiar Bite meat was good on our 300 copper, but that was the only paddle in the water. The blue spoons were all on our Cannon riggers.

Hot spoons are at the bottom!

Great fishing Rick. Not a lot of captains would give give out numbers. I'd give it a try but it would be a hellava run from I-Bay.

Very impressive catch Rick, I'm more impressed with the steelheads they are huge!!! I'm sure they keep the boys jumping as they are a true fighter also, also the mature king is of nice size and color yet. You are a true sportsman by putting your spoon spread and lat.& Lon. Lines up also. I always look forward to your posts. PAP.

great post Yankee. Thank you for sharing your spoons with us. Any thoughts on what this blow with the big westerlies will do??

Thanks in particular for posting pics of spoons. Very helpful.

No problem! They are very different from what we are used to running, so I figured most probably didn't know the spoons. This clearer colder water has us fishing high and fast and the blues seem to be the ticket. I did not start the blue bandwagon. Few Oak captains did, and it was on fire last weekend.

No clue, but you can bet offshore with be the most stable water.

Lake had flipped this morning.  47 deg on the beach at Braddocks this morning at 6am.  Surely some fish in very tight.

Beautiful steelbow!

Thank you for sharing your detailed reports.

The blue dolphin lures are a must have on my boat. I have learned this from you during the charter trips with you.

Tight lines.

Ok I guess I need to be looking into a marina around Oak Orchard. I figured you may be there, last time I was at The Oak was 1988. Glad you are moving some rods, because I have heard some are struggling this year. Just know I do not often wish good things for a YANKEE FAN. HAHAHA. Keep the lines tight my friend.

Those numbers are west of Olcott?  10-12 miles out?  Im terrible at reading paper charts

West of Oak Orchard. After a few days of wind they could mean nothing now.
