With how horrible this winter was, and the average reports I have been getting regarding the salmon action, is it possible that the season is running behind schedule…..and that the "hot bite" that normal happens at the middle / end of july just hasn't happened yet?  Or do most of you guys think the fish are just more scattered this year, and that it won't happen at all?

That is a subject finding much debate on this forum. See other threads. Tough fishing this year without a doubt

I talked to the guys at the Slippery Sinker by Olcott today.  He said he is getting reports of water temps in the 50s at the surface.  That seems really really odd.

So what now, will fish be high because of the cold water, all scattered? I'm knew just asking. Thanks

Usually they scatter because the thermocline gets all turned up. But if it happened 3 days ago the lake may be set up again.
