my starboard rigger is dead, not the boats electricity, tried it on the other side and still didnt work...

 

any ideas on what its problem is? maybe a the switch?

Same thing happened to mine. Sent it back to Big Jon and they replaced the motor. It was still under warranty so didn't cost anything. The cost would have been $160.00

hope thats not the case with mine... but nice to hear Big jon stands behind their products.

Fuse is in the side cover. Try bypassing the switch and the fuse. If the motor runs you know it's an issue with the switch or fuse. If not your motor is crap.

Take the side cover off and jump the bigger black and red wires directly to 12v

Open motor housing and clean all wires and connections. I had to due this to a couple of my big jon brutes. Water gets into motor housing and causes lots of corrosion. Hope this helps

Ok... thanks again for the help everyone... took the cover off the rigger and everything was soldered(sp?) up, but found one wire loose, quick solder job and the rigger works now. :)

 

the wire wasnt fully detached, just loose but that was enough to put it out...
