Fished from 4-8pm last night. It was ROUGH! There was a break out on the 28 that went from 60 on top to 56. Steel were all over it, and some big ones too! Same lures used last weekend produced, and pictures of them can be found in that report. Riggers in the top 40 with sliders. Divers out 60-80' on 3's, and a 5 color core.

Thanks for the report, all the trips I've made up there I have never had to fish above 50ft. If you don't mind....how far do you stretch the leads back from the ball when fishing that high?

They were hitting a slider on a 30 rigger. No need for long leads with Steel. They are aggressive. We don't typically go longer than 40' on our riggers.

Thanks I figured as much as I fish steel on Erie too. I might have to bust out the 30 and 40 jets!

That's what Iove about the oak. No matter how crazy, you can always find good relatively stable water somewhere between 27-31 n. Nice steelies rick!
