Pier fishing

Has anybody heard anything about the kings reaching it to the piers yet? Went to Charlotte last weekend and saw a couple fish jump but no luck on the spoons.

^{Not knowing lake temps, I went out last night to chuck spoons and see if I could get an early one.  No luck.  Saw one very silver(probably Steelhead) salmonoid jump twice near the pier, however.  With water temps inshore right now, I am going to wait a bit more before trying again.}

Went to cpt. Bobs today,had 330 yds of10 lb test spooled on my old Mitchell.a couple more cold rains and I will venture out and try my luck.

A Garcia Mitchell reel. With those Planomatic gears!.....What a 300.....or a bigger 302? Love the way those 300's felt and sounded when reeling in.

a big 300 with a aluminum spool .It was made in France I think in 1976.best reel ever

I don't recommend captain bobs for anything. My honest opinion would be to drive 60 miles out of the way, rather than spend coin there.
