Holy Perch!

Went out of Irondequoit Wednesday, trolled the mouth for browns with no luck, then the wind forced us back to the bay and into Helds cove. To our surprise we caught 30-40 perch, and a dozen or so bass! All on small jigs, and we went to the bait store for bass minnows which worked even better! Perch are in pre-spawn mode, so look for them about 10 ft. from any reeds. The bass were at any ledge. We brought home a dozen 10"+ perch with the biggest @ 13.5! Tasty, and a great start to the warmer season.
