I have a small (19 foot) aluminum Hewes Craft.  I usually get over to the Salmon River/Oswego area each year in mid to late July.  I fish Mexico Bay for browns.  This year, we were not having any luck with the browns, so we tried salmon out of Oswego.  We did ok and had a lot of fun watching the salmon strip line.  Love it.

I was reading a story  by the Fish Doctor about steelhead at the mouth of the Salmon River in late October or early November.  They stage up outside in 20 to 30 feet of water as they get ready to head up the River.  Has anyone tried this?  I would appreciate any feedback.

I would love to get over there one more time this year.

Thanks so much.
