The Familiar Bite in the ziplock bags, not the old tubs, seems to be holding up well this year. That's all we've been using, and it has worked well for us.

I tried the N&D, I needed to trim it down, so I assume it is for the large size bait head. But it looked good

Sorry rob, I personally think the familiar bite sucks. Easily ripping. If I could find the Erie stuff I'd get it in a heartbeat for next year. I can't believe how many fish I go through on one piece of Erie. IMHO

Out west in Washington State I use Pink Salmon Belly's instead of Herring and the King's take them just like fresh cut Herring. We will see how the frozen Humpey Strips work in a couple weeks at bouy #10 on the Columbia River, even year no Pink Salmon to catch! I'm ready for my 3 weeks of fishing the Pacific Northwest.

Earrie dearie is like shoe leather. Very durable! And they catch fish!! I got some strips from Jon's little salmon in Mexico that came from Mcintyre's bait farm in Fair Haven. That was pretty good too.

It is and I couldn't believe it. No comparison. Do they still make it?

Not sure. Haven't bought much bait this year. And I bought a bunch of the eerie strips last summer. I think I did get some at All Seasons in the spring.

Erie Deery is ballyhoo and Familiar bite is Herring.  two totally different baits.  Like NK's and Dreamweavers.  Some days the fish dont want one or the other.  Pick your poison it all works.
