How long a leader do you run between your dipsy and flasher, spinny?

And one more question does anyone run a flasher and a spoon? My brother bought a boat and the through in everything with it and he had some paddles rigged with spoons?I've never seen anyone mention doing that on here.

best answer is as long as physically possible and still net a fish

 

 

and yes you can def run a flasher spoon combo with a  longer leader than a fly

You will get a lot of mixed answers. Most guys like 6-8 foot so you can net the fish. Some run longer and you have to "handline" the fish in the net. I personally prefer about 9-11just long enough to be able to net them. I've used longer with not much difference in catch ratio.

I keep the whole rig the length of my dipsey rod, I only use spinnys on them
