when you run dual dipsy on either side, are both poles the same length?  9' or 9.5' or inside shorter than outside?

 

assume inside dipsy is at setting 1 or 1.5 & outside is 2.5 or 3?

Yes I use two different length rods. The one forward in the boat is 9' and set at 2.5, the one towards the stern is 7' and set at 1. That way when either goes they don't hit each other. You can use the same length rod, just tilt one up a bit so when it gets hit, the rod goes over or under the other.

I will have to check tomorrow when it is light out. The starboard side is just some cheapo rod... I hate it. The other side is a roller rod... Love the rod, but HATE the rollers.
