Going to be up that way this weekend. Galloo Mud bay Area. Weather permitting thinking of trying for some walleyes. Can anybody tell me how the fleas are in the lake? Most poles have 15 lb test for spring fishing will I need the 30 lb test?

No bite at all in Chaumont

Most of the walleye in NE lakeO are migratory fish, there are some resident fish but not enough to target, start to focus on the migratory fish which are headed to Canada, Galloo, Galloo shoals and out towards the Ducks,

A wish move on your part, I'm still searching, think I'm on some fish but can't move them. Dropped 2 on spoons and riggers yesterday, today not a hit. I'm digging out the deep jigging stuff next, and I hate jigging.

The migratory fish are being stubborn but you can catch them if you are persistent. As far as resident fish. Yes there are plenty on the right shoals. And you can target them but they are usually smaller and if pounded they will hit bottom and become inactive.
