My wife and I took ride up to the hatchery today and they were at full tilt with the netting and milking. The biggest one so far is 10 a pounder  . I went looking through the tanks and there were a lot of dandies and checking to see if any still had any of my Rapala's for jewlry :? . The guys siad it looks to be good year and the fish look real healthy. Its quite an operation if you ahve never seen it.

Did you walk up the creek to the damn. Thats really neat to see the fish stacked up and in thier natural spawning state. I've been up there the last 2 years and I enjoy it.

Dave F wrote an article for the local paper which is what reminded me to go up. I've lived in this area my whole life and for the last several years I've wanted to go up and see this .. but keep forgetting. The article reminded me.

I was up there today. The station is all done with their collecting for the year. I spoke to a couple of guy loading nets in the back of the truck & they said they had a very good year collecting walleye this year and last year. I took a walk up to the dam and there were very few walleye there. I saw a lot of small ones in the creek by looking out the window of the station. Nice day for a ride though.
