I'm wondering how the fishing out of olcott is for browns and kings. We'd rather come to olcott if the fishing's good. If not, we're heading to erie for eyes. Any info would be great. Thanks.

From the sounds of a lot of the reports i've been reading guys are catching the kings you just have to find them!! water temps are crazy on ontario and the thermocline is crazy cold.  My wife and I fish erie a couple times a week and have gotten our limit every time we've went this summer.  were actually heading to olcott tomorrow for 3 days.  trying to fish on our own on thurs and friday were taking a charter and sat again on our own.  check this site for reports and i've also been reading this

Thanks for the info. I guess the salmon fishing's out. Is the fishing for browns still good this late in the year?

We hammered the eyes on erie last week, but would much rather have a good day on ontario. I'm taking my nephews, so want to get them on some fish.

It was rough when we got here we did make it out for a bit this evening. Took a couple good shots on riggers 75' down but nothing and pulled 1 nice brown 180 back on a #3 setting dipsy with nbk.
