Anybody fished there before for Crappie? I heard Crappies are biting at night. It is true?

You must be talking about Lake Alice.  Althiough I have never fished it, I spend alot of time at the Oak and have heard that it is an excellent crappie fishery.

Lake Alice is full of crappies and big gills. I fish it a few times every summer. I was up at night a few weeks ago and did quite well. I fish around the rte. 279 bridge usually from shore. The water is deep but I set my bobber at about 1-3 feet and the crappies come up for it. Bigger shiners work the best.

Yeah I meant Lake Alice. I only fished at Hemlock and Canadice. I never fished the west side before and I want to give Lake Alice a try. I have a 14 footer boat and was a intimated by the fast moving water by the public boat launch on rt 279 by the brigde.

Thanks for the info Prchmike.
