Started out on Lake Ontario and from the shore the Lake looked nice and calm.  Not.  As the morning went on it really started kicking up.  we have a 17.5 Starcraft Superfisherman and it does pretty good but as the waves were starting to reach 3' we decided to go in.  Got a couple of knock offs, but other than that no luck.

So i have decided to fish until we actually catch something this fall.

Went out as far as 130' and the down temp was 69 at 75'.

Better luck next time.

We fished from 6 to 8 pm.Ran 5 #3 jplugs we were 2 for 5 .One large fish broke the line(stacked lines) the rest were gone before we could set the hook. One nice brown arond 7 lbs and a teenager salmon. The fish hit mostly middepth lines set back around 50 ft.Fished 60 to 83 ft.off port. All fish were out of temp.

Going back tomorrw afternoon.Jplugs especialy the small ones still continue taking fish.

Another boat out much deeper did better than us.Something like 3 for 5 matures.

love this salmon fishing hope it lasts till halloween.

thanks for the reply.  I see you set the lines back 50ft.  I always did around 25. i guess that's wrong?
