Slow and quiet day so far. I have only heard about a dozen shots all day. 1 doe for the freezer for my hunting party so far. Cameras have shown better activity in the pm so now we sit and wait.

Rob are you hunting with an outfitter? I used to go down there with mixed results but it has been a few years since I have done it. The outfitter I hunted with the last time down there wasn't to good.

Tonight was my first sit this season where I didn't see a deer. Windy. Still good to be out though.

Either the buck i saw this afternoon has 30 inches of grown shrinkage or he's a high 140s- low 150s 10 pointer.

Hey Rob...your thread has become a tell-all for the LOU bow hunting community. Hope you don't mind!

LOTS of movement last night. I had four different bucks working a branch overhanging a scrape 40 yards from the stand. The biggest one, an eight, stood on his hind legs and danced with the branch a couple times. That was too cool to see. The bucks all quartered toward the stand at various angles and presented shots, but none of them were what I was looking for...passed on some does, too. Just a great night to be out!

I saw a small 7 point, button buck pushing around a couple fawns, and 2 more doe. I had the 2 doe 15 yards from me could have shot them a couple dozen times while they were in my food plot. Looking forward to seeing one of those big boys!

Saw a ton of doe this morning and a spike. Looks like theyll be cutting a lot of corn this week so hopefully the rest of the big bucks will be pushed into the hardwoods.

Well, no luck for me in North Carolina. Looking forward to the grind of the next 30 days though.
