You all better think twice about staying in this derby :? . As long as it's going to be total weight I have this one in the bag.

Was out Saturday and fine tuned my technique (after a tip from Chaos ;) ). In 4 hours fishing in RR's honey hole and a little culling I boated a 11#er, 18#'er, 21#'er - biggest, 15#'er and another 18#'er.  Almost broke my dipsey rod on the 21lber. It was touch & go for awhile. Had to shut my engine down once to clear lines and had one hell of a fight on my hands.

It's amazing how the weed clumps can tire a guy out :$ .

This weekend I'll work over splits' SECRETE spot and clear the way for those behind me like a Polish Mine sweeper. (no disrespect intended)

Now Ray,....what does BS mean again.

10 days left to sharpen hooks ;)

Chaos,

Haven't even had a chance to talk with them, Doesn't look like I will have a chance either, have to work all next week. So if you can work something out with them that would be great. If they come up with something I think I can find someone to pick it up.

Thanks

Im reading through all the posts and trying to figure out the tourney. Can someone sum it up in a nutshell?

Pretty simple, Basicially a get-together of board members, but we are fishing per DEC laws. There is no entry fee, But you have to be a LOU member. Heaviest 1 man limit wins the coveted Cayuga Cup held for the last year by RUSTY RAT. Start time is 5 am 8/2. You have to be in line to weigh-in by 1 pm at Meyers Park. That's about it.

Stix,

Will probably do the weigh-in at my site, if need be I'll shuttle guys from the marina. I know some of you guys will need a truck for your coolers.:lol:

`stix,.....this is how RR did it last year. Maybe he'll let you borrow the cart after the weigh-in.

RR bustin'em getting his catch to the weigh-in last year. gx12Sqr0.jpg

wow.....that looks heavy...

....his kid put the `rigger weights in the cooler  .

Is there going to be a Lama there so I dont have to carry a heavy cooler to the scales?

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

If it helps anyone out, my cooler will probably be empty so I can help struggle with some of your coolers. I am a heavy equipment operator, should I bring an excavator for cooler lifting purposes or a dozer for cooler dragging purposes? :D I might have to join you fellows for this one. It sounds like a good time

Added you to the list of participants Landshark and clarified the type

of limit.

We're doing trout and salmon only. That gives us 21 boats so far, that's

a few more than last year with 6 days to go.

Looks like the word is out on you RR, they're commin out of the woodwork to dethrone the king of the LOU-ALL.:lol:

"Any guess what the winning weight will be? ." I bet 32 to 35 pounds, still working on geting my crew together for the 2nd."

You must be talking about one fish @ 32#. Hope so, `cause if your not catching these then stay back at the park and get the fire started for the BBQ.

I'm thinking Of going to meyers friday and do a little spying, I mean fishing and spend the night at the park instead of driving there in the morning. Will I need a camp site or can I just pull the boat into the parking lot and sleep in the truck. If I need a camp site would I be able to get one.
