Got him on an orange wooly bugger. 

 

Havnt done much fly fishing for walleye. You catch um on topwater flies???

I've fished alewifes before but usually for pike

No I catch lots on floating stickbaits worked as top water wake baits or just under surface, but I had a musky fly guy make me some musky sized alewife flies that Ill be testing soon with him. I have caught them on clousers before, but just little eyes.
